an event upnorth!

Hello to All the Michigan High School SBX coaches, riders and staff:

Saturday, Jan 26th Middle Earth Snow Series is hosting their annual High School SBX race for any rider that would like to race!
Coaches do not need to be there for your riders to race!  You do not need a full team there to race!  This race will run in conjunction with my USASA MIddle Earth Snow Series--those that are USASA members will have to race in their age group if they would like to earn the points towards Nationals and also race in the High School Race (they will only be charged for 1 event $25)  Coaches--we will have a separate fun bracket race just for you!

The High school race will be bracketed separately from the USASA racers but run at the end of each heat we will do a Men's High school bracket and a Woman's high school bracket.  Format will be double elimination if the number of participants are small, and a single elimination if the number of participants are over 16.
There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd individuals men and woman and great swag raffle from Ride 45 shop  in Petoskey, K2 Snowboard will be given away, and many other prizes from Smith, DAkine, Bandits International, and more!

Registration:  9-10:30 in Boyne Highlands Cafeteria Entrance (located upstairs next to the coffe stand just before you enter to purchase food) No advance Registration is needed!  Just show up ON TIME PLEASE!
Who can Participate:  Any High School Age Snowboarder -No USASA membership is required-
Coaches:  If you have a USASA coaches credential you will receive a free lift ticket for Saturday, Jan 26th and will be asked to volunteer to help with the race for the duration of the race.  Your ticket will be good 9-9 on day of the race so you will have time to ride and enjoy Boyne Highlands!  They are getting pounded with snow all this week!
Event FEE:  $25 for the SBX race + lift ticket; anyone that is a USASA member will race both in their age group category and in the High school bracket for only $25 event fee.
Race is on the slope just outside the Registration area above the beginner hill and magic carpet at Boyne Highlands.
Helmets and mouthguard are required for all High School SBX racers!  All High School rules will apply!
All Riders must purchase a valid lift ticket to race.  Bib must be worn in practice and competition and returned at end of the race to be eligible for the swag raffle!  Any bib not returned the rider will be charged $25 bib replacement fee.
