In the past seven years, approximately 30 young people in Michigan, usually student athletes, died from sudden cardiac death. To help detect young people who are at higher risk for sudden cardiac death, Beaumont Hospitals offers high school students a free heart screening. Our Healthy Heart Check includes: medical history review, blood pressure assessment and an electrocardiogram. A doctor will listen to the student's heart and may decide to do an echocardiogram, a noninvasive picture of the heart. Register now ( http://heart.beaumonthospitals.com/student-screening ).

Screenings are scheduled for: 
Andover High School, Bloomfield Hills - April 20, 3 - 7 p.m.

Beverly Hills Club, Beverly Hills -April 30, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Milford High School, Highland - May 20, 3 - 7 p.m. and May 21, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
