No practice today because of the rain. I will send out another email in the next couple days to go over the time trials on January 4th.

Lets hope the weather turns quickly.

Optional Practice December 20

Hope everyone is having a good time being off of school. Alpine has a fun park built now. Just be careful!!

Just a reminder that Jake and I will be at Alpine tuesdays and thursdays at the normal practice time for anyone that wants some extra practice. With the park there, we can work on some terrain. Meet at the normal place - up stairs - and the normal time - 5:30.

Practice CANCELLED Today - 12/14/10

Normally practice/races wouldn't be canceled because of snow, but I have heard lots of reports of icy roads ... so out of safety, practice is canceled today.

For future reference, there is ALWAYS a chance that we will still race even though school is closed. So if there is ever a question, check the blog or contact me.

December 14 Practice

On tuesday's practice:

• We'll pick team captains
• I'll pass out order forms for the hoodies
• Get sizes and pick numbers for jerseys.
• Then go out a ride!

I'd also like to say a big THANK YOU to our Trainers Andi Dawson and Tom Hall. They will be a valuable asset to give advise to the team on technique and strategy.

First Practice Tuesday!

First Practice December 7th @ 5:30pm

Meet in the upper floor of the lodge at Alpine. You need a ticket if you don't have a pass. And you also need your helmet for ALL practices and races.

Alpine open today.

Get your first runs in! There's only one run open, so I'm not sure how the conditions are. Let's plan on the first practice being December 7th. That will allow alpine to get a better base and some more runs open. I'll post more details once the date gets closer.

Also a reminder to get all of your paperwork in!

Hello everyone,

Thanks to everyone who came out to People Skate and Snow last night. It was good to see everyone, and hopefully you all learned how really easy it is to wax your board. I'll post up some links to more instruction on the blog throughout the season....

Hopefully the season will start soon. The temperatures are dropping so Alpine should start blowing snow as soon as the temps can stay consistently below freezing. I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear that Alpine is preparing to open.

I was informed that the practice dates are incorrect in the Student packet I passed out. Just remember that practice will be Tuesday and Thursday in December - As soon as Alpine opens. There is OPTIONAL practice when school is out for the holiday ... if there is enough interest Jake and I will be there for training. It's a good time to get some individual attention as not many people come out to those practices during the holidays.

Also - The State Final date will be changing ... it appears that the Ski Divisional is the same date as we picked ... so that will be changing and I will alert you all to the new date when it becomes final.

There will now be 5 teams racing in our league this year. Romeo High school has joined our district. So we'll be adding the expanded start gate at the top. It will be interesting to see what one extra rider will do in the races.

And reminder - Get your paperwork in to the Athletic Department BEFORE December 1!!!
